Anchoring Methods:

1. Traditional Top Loop Anchoring (Old-School Method)

• Attach the included quick link connector to the welded top loop of the anchor and secure it to a chain before tying your anchor rope.
• This method offers a strong hold but may be trickier to dislodge if the anchor gets stuck.
• Easy Retrieval Tip: If stuck, use your outboard motor’s power to apply force and bend the tines to free the anchor. The tines can be reshaped for reuse.

2. Base Loop Anchoring (Quick-Release Method)

• Attach the quick link connector to the welded base loop at the anchor’s shank, running the chain up the shank.
• Secure the chain to the top loop using a 75 lb. test zip tie (included).
• This setup allows normal anchoring while enabling easy retrieval if stuck—simply applying force will break the zip tie, shifting the anchor’s pulling point to the base loop, making it easier to pull free.

Easy Retrieval & Reuse

1. If the anchor becomes lodged in underwater structures, simply use the outboard motor to apply force to the rope. This will break the zip tie, shifting the pulling force to the base loop and reversing the retrieval angle.
2. This method allows you to dislodge the anchor from the bottom up, minimizing strain and hassle.
3. To reset the anchor for the next use, replace the 75 lb. test zip tie, resecure the chain to the top loop, and you’re ready to go!
